We Are Hiring!

Urban Devotion Birmingham began with a family moving into the area, and a group of people praying and listening to the community, and that posture still defines us today. We believe God is at work in Birmingham, and we’re committed to being part of a story where those in some of the city’s most disadvantaged areas can discover hope, purpose, and opportunity.

  • The Outreach Champion is a delivery-focused role within UDB’s funded outreach and community work, supporting consistent, relational engagement with children and young people aged 8–18.

Working as part of the wider UDB team, you will deliver high-quality outreach youth work across detached community settings, our Mobile Youth Venue (MYV), drop-ins, schools work, and one-off events. Through regular presence and relationship-building, you will help young people connect into wider opportunities for personal development, belonging, and growth.

The role plays an important part in bringing learning, youth voice, and community insight into team reflection and planning. It would suit someone who is curious and reflective in their practice, enjoys working relationally, and is keen to grow as a practitioner within a supportive team environment.

    • Community engagement, such as drop-ins, street-based work, and the mobile youth venue

    • Partnership work in schools, including playground presence, assemblies, mentoring, and group sessions

    • Developing and trialling age-appropriate faith exploration activities, sensitively and appropriately communicating the Christian faith

Alongside delivery, this role will contribute to learning and insight into the ongoing development and sustainability of children and families faith work, including contributing to the exploration of future funding opportunities.
