The stumbling block for many young people in achieving their potential is simply knowing where they want to go and how they can get there. UDB's information, advice and guidance service is designed to help young people and young adults navigate these challenges. Along with our own personal development, CV writing and job seeking tools we have built up partnerships with other organisations that offer accredited training and work placement programmes.

Over the past few years UDB has been involved in the government's Working Neighbourhood Fund (WNF) and Future Jobs Fund (FJF). UDB Creative Apprentice Tom Shearer first connected with UDB through FJF and we have subsequently supported him into becoming self-employed. Listen to him talk about his journey:
