The Map

Are you aged between 16 and 20, out of work, not at college and want some help figuring out what to do? The Map is for you! In an action packed programme you will learn to embrace your strengths whilst building shelters that you'll sleep in, rafts that you will float and making fires that you will cook over.

The Map is a new programme we have designed to support those who get stuck and find themselves wondering what they want to do with their lives. It's a bespoke programme that seeks to respond to the unique needs and aspirations of each individual through honest reflection, warm encouragement and unusual experiences.

The Map team have years of experience working with so-called NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) young people and are the first to admit that there are no magic solutions or one-size-fits-all programmes that can stem the tide of unemployment and disilusionment amongst young people. However we offer consistent and ongoing relationship as a means to challenging the obstacles that these young people face.

The Map has been funded by the Natural World project from Natural England. A key purpose of this project is helping people appreciate and care for natural spaces in their communities. The Map does this by taking those that are seen as a risk to the natural environment and teaching them the benefits of woodland, grassland and farmland.

Places are limited for each programme so please get in touch with Andy if you are interested.
